Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard d. Roberto Bautista-Agut 6-7 (4), 7-6 (5), (10-5)

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard defeats Roberto Bautista Agut in three tie break sets

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard pulled through in a tie-break filled match at The Boodles against Roberto Bautista-Agut, who will be playing his final Wimbledon next week. In sets full of speedy first serves and aces, the Frenchman, who currently holds ATP’s fastest serve record at Wimbledon at 153 mph, showed that he will be a danger at SW19.

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard

“I enjoy the grass, it’s a fast surface, and the ones at The Boodles are very good quality. It was a good match. I tried to bring things that we are trying out and trying to progress.”

On Wimbledon R1 draw against Yannick Hanfmann

“Last year I had very good matches but it was tough against (Taylor) Fritz. It was a lesson learnt for myself - I hope this year will be better than 2025. It will be a complicated first match as Yannick (Hanfmann) is a good player so I will have to give it my all but overall, I feel good.”

Roberto Bautista-Agut

On Wimbledon R1 draw against Joao Fonseca

“It is my last Wimbledon and I have many happy memories there. It will be a tough match as he got to the quarter-final at Roland Garros and did well. I need to beat him using my experience on grass, I hope I’ll be able to play well at Wimbledon.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas d. Dino Prizmic 3-6, 7-6 (4), (10-5)

Stefanos Tsitsipas charges back in second set to take match against Dino Prizmic

Stefanos Tsitsipas sealed a win at Stoke Park after battling Dino Prizmic in the sweltering London heat. After a turbulent season, the former World No. 3 came storming back into the match after a one sided beginning which saw Croat Prizmic take a 63 5-3 lead. With the Wimbledon draw revealed today, the pair showcased their skills on court and proved they will both prove a threat to anyone they face.

Stefanos Tsitsipas

“I did better with managing serves with deeper returns penetrating the court more often. I allowed him to come in, step in and attack first, which gave me more room to work around more forehand and my bigger shots. It mainly came down to the bigger shots, such as the serve and return because that meant the game was decided - I managed to do that first with a little bit more dare.”

On Wimbledon preparation and R1 draw with Hugo Gaston

“It is a good match (with Hugo Gaston), I needed a match like that. Wimbledon is different, I am going to have to be patient and go out there different. He is someone who likes to play with the ball, is creative when he plays, creates a lot of opportunities, has a lot of different opportunities and variations of shots. I have a few things in my artillery, in my game that I can go out and create damage and harm. But, I need to be careful because he's going to make me move and work for points. Physically, it is going to be very important to be fresh to be able to take on that match.”

Dino Prizmic

“It was great to be a part of this tournament as I am trying to prepare for Wimbledon. In the two days that we have left for Wimbledon, I am going to balance relaxing and preparing as much as I can.”

Magda Linette d. Maja Chwalinska 6-3, 3-6, (10-6)

Magda Linette defeats compatriot Maja Chwalinska in late evening sunshine

2026 Roland Garros finalist Maja Chwalinska made her debut at The Boodles alongside Polish compatriot Magda Linette. In a match played in the late evening sunshine at Stoke Park the women entertained the crowd with a competitive match.  Linette showed her grass-court experience to claim victory in a third set 10-point tie-break.

Magda Linette

“I always felt that I really like grass, but maybe the feeling wasn’t mutual. But yeah, I got a couple really good matches in the Netherlands, so it was really nice to have this confidence before coming here, and so grateful to have this opportunity to play one more match before Wimbledon.”

On playing Mirra Andreeva in the first round at Wimbledon

“There's no easy draw anymore, so any draw is tough in its own way.  Obviously, I'll be an underdog, I like being an underdog. I've had a win against Mirra, so definitely we both know how each of us plays. So I just hope for a really tough match, and I hope I'll get a chance here and there, and I'll try to take my chance.”

Maja Chwalinska

“I had a couple of days on grass already. It's definitely a big challenge for me after Roland Garros to kind of reset, and definitely much different surface, and I need to adapt to play my best game.

On going into Wimbledon after reaching the final at Roland Garros “Well, it's definitely new, and you know, I've never experienced it before, so I'm grateful for this experience, and I'll see how I go but I'm just gonna do my best and focus on my game.”

On playing Qualifier Mananchaya Sawangkaew in Wimbledon first round “She's played three matches already, and I think she played some tournaments on grass before, so she played some matches, and she's used to the surface, which is gonna be challenging for me, because it's gonna be my first, I mean, now second match.  It’s gonna be tough, I expect a tough match, and I know that I need to bring my best game to it.”

Day 5 at The Boodles will see the introduction of a celebrity pro-am doubles match with Jason Isaacs (The While Lotus, Harry Potter films) pairing up with Wimbledon doubles champion Henry Patten to take on Jason Flemying (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Layer Cake, Trigger Point) and Charles Broom.
