THE BATTLE OF BRADENTON
As a result of the suspension of the ATP Tour, and with players still wanting to compete and play tennis in a safe, social distancing manner, we have created The Battle of Bradenton, which is a series of invitational professional tennis matches taking place every Thursday - Saturday over four weeks starting 11th June 2020.
THE DATES:
- 11-13 June
- 18-20 June
- 25-27 June
- 02-04 July
THE FORMAT
The eight players will compete in a promotion/relegation format whereby each player will compete every day for a defined 1st - 8th place finish. There will be the traditional quarter final matches whereby the winners proceed to the semi finals and finals, but the losers also continue competing in the relegation rounds. Each weekend will consist of the following matches:
- Thursday - Four Quarter Finals Matches
- Friday - Four Semi Finals (two in the main draw and two in the relegation draw)
- Saturday - Four finals to determine 1st/ 2nd and 3rd/4th and 5th/6th and 7th/8th place finishes
THE MATCHES
- Each match will be played best of 3 sets advantage scoring with the third set decided by a 10 point Champions Tie-Break.
THE PRIZE MONEY
- Each series will offer $10,000 in Prize Money paid to the players.
