DAVID FERRER CROWNED 2011 THE BOODLES CHAMPION

David Ferrer - ATP Ranking (6)

Making his debut at this year's Boodles is world number six, David Ferrer. Having amassed a total of eleven career titles, "The Human Wall" has finished inside the world's top twenty players for the past six years. David announced his arrival on the world stage by beating the great Andre Agassi at the Rome Masters in 2003. He has since gone on to reach two Grand Slam semi finals, most recently in Australia in January, losing a closely fought match to British number one Andy Murray. The Spaniards best moment came in 2009, when he helped his nation lift the Davis Cup of that year by winning all six of his singles matches.

We are delighted to welcome David as he makes his final preparations for SW19 with us at Stoke Park.

Gael Monfils - ATP Ranking (11)

We are delighted to welcome back to Stoke Park, 2010 Boodles Challenge Champion, Gael Monfils. The explosive Frenchman excited the crowds with his athleticism and jovial personality twelve months ago, and has once again enjoyed a successful year on the ATP World Tour, reaching the semi-final of the Paris Masters for the second consecutive year. Having reached the semi final of The French Open in 2008 La Monf, as he is known, is a hugely feared opponent. If his performances at The Boodles 2010 are anything to go by, the world number 11 will fancy his chances at Wimbledon 2011.

We welcome Gael as he entertains the crowds once again at Stoke Park with his unique brand of tennis.

Viktor Troicki - ATP Ranking (17)

Returning to The Boodles after his debut appearance in 2009, is Serbian number two, Viktor Troicki. A powerful and talented player, 2010 saw Viktor emerge as one of the players to look out for to challenge for major honors in the game. Having won his first title in Moscow in October, Viktor rounded off a breakthrough year by clinching the final rubber in a dramatic Davis Cup final against France, ensuring his country took home the title for the first time in their history. 2011 has seen Viktor progress on from that famous victory, by reaching a career high world ranking of seventeen.

Widely regarded in the game as one to watch for 2011, we are delighted to welcome Viktor to the Boodles Challenge 2011.

David Nalbandian - ATP Ranking (19)

Now firmly regarded as a favorite of the event, former Wimbledon finalist David Nalbandian, has once again confirmed his participation at Stoke Park for the Wimbledon warm up event. Having appeared on more occasions at The Boodles than any other player (this will be his eighth appearance), David is once again showing his class on the ATP World Tour. Having suffered serious injuries over the past two seasons, David is moving rapidly up the rankings in 2011 and still boasts the enviable record of reaching at least the semi final of all four Grand Slam events. On his day, David is a match for any player in the game, and will hope his Stoke Park preparation can take him back to the Wimbledon final.

We are delighted to welcome the Argentine world number three back to Stoke Park.

Sam Querrey - ATP Ranking (21)

Another player to make his debut at The Boodles 2011 will be current Queens Club Champion, Sam Querrey. The current world number twenty one and American Davis Cup player had a sensational 2010, winning four tour level titles, which was bettered only by Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Alongside Andy Roddick and John Isner, Sam is leading the next generation of American tennis superstars to follow in the footsteps of Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi. Possessing a huge serve and aggressive forehand, Sam is surely a player to watch out for on the lawns of Wimbledon.

We look forward to welcoming Sam to The 2011 Boodles.

Juan Martin DelPotro - ATP Ranking (26)

The 2009 US Open champion is making his debut at Stoke Park this year and we're delighted to welcome not just a Grand Slam champion but a credible rival to Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer at the top of the men's game. He is one of the only men in history to have beaten Nadal and Federer in consecutive matches, having done so en route to lifting the trophy at Flushing Meadows two years ago. The 22-year-old Argentine possesses one of the biggest serves on the ATP World Tour and a forehand so potent that it has to be seen to be believed, which is why he has nine career ATP titles.

He would surely have achieved even more had he not been stricken with a wrist injury that sidelined him for eight months of 2010 but thankfully he has shown no lasting effects and has been in devastating form this year already, winning two ATP titles and showing why many regard him as a contender for Wimbledon 2011.

We're delighted that Juan Martin has chosen The Boodles to hone his grass-court game and put the finishing touches to his challenge for a second Grand Slam title.

Gilles Simon - ATP Ranking (18)

Simon's status as one of the most dangerous players on the ATP Tour is confirmed by even the briefest look at his achievements. He has been ranked as high as 6 in the world rankings (in January 2009) and has won eight titles on the ATP World Tour, including the prestigious Medibank International in Sydney in January prior the this year's Australian Open. The Frenchman might look deceptively slight in his build, but his crafty, consistent tennis is more than a match for more powerfully-built opponents. He celebrated his 200th match win on the Tour in Monte Carlo in April but is probably even more proud of becoming a father for the first time in September 2010, when his son Timothee was born.

We're delighted to welcome Gilles back to the Boodles for what will be his second consecutive appearance at Stoke Park

Fernando Verdasco – ATP Ranking 20

Verdasco has established himself as one of the superstars of the men's game with a combination of dynamic, exciting brand of tennis and glamorous good looks. The Madrid native brings star quality to everything he does, whether it is pushing Rafael Nadal in a 2009 Australian Open semi-final rated by some as one of the greatest matches of all time or posing almost nude for Cosmopolitan Magazine to raise awareness of cancer amongst young males. His career-high ranking of 7 and the five career ATP World Tour titles he has won prove that he is far more than a just a pretty face, though, and while you can expect flashbulbs aplenty when he takes to the court, you are guaranteed to see plenty of flashy shot-making as well.

We're delighted to welcome one of tennis’s most charismatic players back to The Boodles .
